In recognition of Ian Spencers commitment to bridging the gap between business and the community in which it operates, The Antigonish Chamber of Commerce and the Business Development Bank of Canada annually recognize a local business with the Ian Spencer Excellence in Business Award. Nominees should be businesses that demonstrate general business excellence; successful business practices and strong corporate responsibility and community service.
